Krisztian Szabo is one of the most successful and all-round active racing driver in Hungary who has proved his talent with some great results in the international field and in many disciplines of motorsports. Even before the start of his car racing career, he loved everything which is about speed, adrenaline and extreme. In 2008, he won gold medal in the student’s Olympic in skiing and clinched the junior national title in skicross, while also becoming Hungarian champion in autocross. He was only 16 years old at that time.
In the next two years he took two European Championship title in the Junior Buggy category of autocross, and in 2011 he was awarded as the Extreme Sportsman of the Year in his home country. Then, in 2013, he became a European champion also between adults, in the Buggy1600 category of autocross, and as a reward for his great results, the national ASN gave him the Driver of the Year title.
At the end of 2014, he stood up to the podium immediately in his first race in the FIA Rallycross European Championship, in Italy, becoming the first ever Hungarian to do so. He outshone this fantastic debut with a marvelous win in the first race of the 2015 FIA Rallycross European Championship season, in Portugal, which of course, was the first ever Hungarian win in this prominent racing series.
In 2015 he is competing in two fields at the same time, as he has also entered the first ever American truck race championship, ChampTruck World Series, where he scored three wins and two second places in his first race weekend. With these outstanding performances he proved again and again time after time, that he can fight for the top positions at anytime, anywhere and with any kind of racing machine, no matter how strong the competitive field is.
